Shadow of the Tomb Raider developer Eidos Montreal has revealed it's pretty chuffed with how the action-adventure title performed following its launch last September.

Speaking with USGamer during PAX East, the game's producer, Jonathan Dahan, said that the success of Lara Croft's latest relic-hunting romp resulted in the team continuing to pump out extra DLC, the last of which is launching this month.

'We’re super happy with how [Shadow of the Tomb Raider] turned out, both on the critics side and performance,'  he said. 'That’s why we continued producing DLC, because we’re excited about how it went.'

While there's no concrete plans about the future of the Tomb Raider franchise, Dahan said that he'd be 'extremely surprised' if we didn't see another game.

Tomb Raider was rebooted in 2013 under Crystal Dynamics, and was followed by 2016's Rise of the Tomb Raider. Shadow of the Tomb Raider completed Lara's origins story, although Josh thought it wasn't quite as strong of a conclusion as it could have been.
