Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is getting a sequel in the shape of Middle-earth: Shadow of War, according to a now pulled product listing on the website of US retailer Target.
Thankfully, NeoGAF bagged all the info before it was removed.
“Experience an epic open-world brought to life by the award-winning Nemesis System. Forge a new Ring of Power, conquer Fortresses in massive battles and dominate Mordor with your personal Orc army in Middle-earth: Shadow of War,” reads the game’s blurb.
“Go behind enemy lines to forge your army, conquer Fortresses and dominate Mordor from within. Experience how the award winning Nemesis System creates unique personal stories with every enemy and follower, and confront the full power of the Dark Lord Sauron and his Ringwraiths in this epic new story of Middle-earth.”
Kotaku notes it has heard that both Talion and Celebrimbor from Shadow of Mordor will be back for the sequel.
The listing also included details on a Gold Edition, featuring four expansion packs: Slaughter Tribe Nemesis Expansion, Outlaw Tribe Nemesis Expansion, The Blade of Galadriel Story Expansion and The Desolation of Mordor Story Expansion. The two story expansions will feature new playable characters.
Expect Warner Bros. to announce the title pretty soon.
