Seven US Navy SEALs have been charged with violation of Article 92: Orders violation, misuse of command gear and violation of Article 92: Dereliction of duty, disclosure of classified material, following their involvement in the development of EA’s Medal of Honor: Warfighter, reports Polygon.

It’s reported that the seven SEALs consulting on the game – two Senior Chief Special Operators and five Chief Special Operators – have been found guilty of using classified material provided to them by the Navy.

Each has received a punitive letter of reprimand and will forfeiture half a month’s pay for two months.

EA told Polygon: “We do not know if the veterans who consulted on the game were in contact with the Department of Defense.”

The US Department of Defense also confirmed to Polygon that an additional Naval Special Warfare investigation is underway to determine if more personnel are involved.
