The Nintendo DS launched in Europe back in March 2005, and since than has gone on to sell an impressive seven million units. Software sales are also strong, with six DS titles having achieved more than one million sales.
Some of these million sellers include Touch! Generations games, Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training: How old is your brain?, Animal Crossing: Wild World, and Nintendogs which has been a phenomenon, shifting more than four million copies in Europe.
Mario has also been a big success on the DS; New Super Mario Bros., Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart DS have each sold in excess of one million.

Nintendo’s Touch! Generations titles have proven a huge success, attracting a much wider audience than typical video games, and Nintendo will be hoping for more of the same with the Wii when it launches in Europe on December 8.
