cdv Software Entertainment AG has announced it is working with Croteam and Devolver Digital to bring Serious Sam HD to PC at retail and via digital download worldwide. This follows news that the game will be released on Xbox LIVE Arcade in late summer.
Originally released in 2001, Serious Sam HD has been modernised using Croteam’s proprietary Serious Engine 3. The game will stay true to the source material, with Sam taking on Lord Mental’s forces across a variety of battlegrounds set in various ancient civilisations.
Roman Ribaric, CEO of Croteam said “We have been really excited to see Sam being recreated in stunning high definition and to have the opportunity to truly update our hero. The fans of Sam have never gone away and have been lobbying us hard to do this, so we are really excited to be able to confirm that Sam will be back as big, bold and bad as he ever was and we are really stoked about introducing Sam to new gamers as well as his loyal fans.”
