SEGA has confirmed delays to Nintendo 3DS pair, Crush 3D and Shinobi, citing poor 3DS sales are the reason.

Crush 3D, originally set for September 9, 2011, will now hit stores early in 2012, while Shinobi has been kicked back from September to November 15, 2011. Zoe Mode’s studio head Paul Mottram revealed during a GamesIndustry.biz roundtable that Crush has been pushed back “because of the success of the platform”.

Crush 3D, a redesigned version of the acclaimed PSP title Crush, tells the story of Dan, a man who has turned into a nervous insomniac and is too tired to change his life. In a last attempt to cure his insomnia he turns to hypnosis, and it’s during this state that he must sort through his life’s wreckage before he goes insane.

Shinobi tells the story of Jiro Musashi, the leader of the Oboro clan and father of Joe Musashi, the hero of the first iterations of Shinobi. Players will become a true ninja legend by mastering a brand new combo system switching between melee, ranged and acrobatic attacks.
