SEGA has trademarked Sonic: Lost World and registered a pair of URLs linked to the unannounced title.
SEGA Europe registered SonicLostWorld.com and SonicLostWorlds.com on Monday, according to WhoIs.net records. Heading to the URLs currently loads a blank page.
SEGA has yet to officially announce any future Sonic titles, but is expected to release a major new game in the series later this year.
In late 2012, the firm’s European head of brand licensing Sissel Henno accidentally revealed that “a new boxed [Sonic] game” was due for release during 2013.
Could SEGA be gearing up to reveal a new Sonic during next month’s E3?
