The coy devils at SEGA have hinted at a HD remake of Saturn-era cult classic NiGHTS into Dreams.
The publisher isn’t officially confirming anything at the moment, but it did see fit to nip onto Facebook and put up a cryptic image of of some sort of field with a crane and some metally bits. People much smarter than I have pointed out this is hugely similar to NiGHT’s level Stick Canyon.
SEGA isn’t usually one to shy away from jazzing up its back catalogue, and is currently working on a HD remake of the Dreamcast’s Jet Set Radio.
If the publisher does commit to a modern retooling of NiGHTS into Dreams, however, it would perhaps become the oldest bit of source material to be used in this current trend of fancy re-releases – the Saturn original was released in 1996.
