Sega (via DualShockers) has thrown a bone to those who are chomping at the bit for more Project Judge/Judge Eyes news with a blast of new screenshots, and some tidbits on the story.

As Takayuki Yagami, you must investigate some murder cases that have been happening in the familiar setting of Kamurocho, which may be down to a serial killer that the police want no part of. In order to get to the bottom of this, you can do a number of different things like disguise yourself, pick locks, take pictures and listen to conversations.

There are some distractions on offer in the mini-games here, too: pinball, arcade games, a VR board game, drone races, and casinos, but to name a few.

Judge Eyes will also have side missions available, which apparently shows a different side to Yagami; if it's anything like Yakuza — which I'm guessing it will be — then these will likely add some levity to the super serious main story.

The new game from the developer behind Yakuza launches in Japan on December 13, while us in the west await a more concrete date than 2019. Still, at least we know it's coming out over here. Eventually.
