While Square Enix has RPG fans foaming at the mouth over the impending remake of Secret of Mana, some gamers are more than a little miffed at the conspicuous absence of a Switch version of the highly anticipated title.

In an attempt to clarify all the hubbub surrounding the lack of a Switch edition of Secret of Mana 3D, the series’ producer, Masaru Oyamanda, told DualShockers that the Japanese software giant is looking at ways to possibly bring the game to Ninty’s hybrid wonder console.

Oyamanda-san pointed out that the Switch wasn’t even announced when the team was planning Secret of Mana 3D, which was around the same time that they polished off Adventures of Mana for PS Vita.

However, following the game’s announcement, Oyamanda admitted to receiving ‘a lot of feedback from people requesting a Switch version,’ and that the team was ‘surprised to hear the number of responses to the Switch version.’

‘We’ve heard their voices and we are trying to figure out if there’s anything we can do. With that said, our focus right now is on the PS4, PS Vita, and PC version,’ he said.

Sounds like there may be some light at the end of the tunnel for Switch owners, then. Still, we won’t hold our breath. Secret of Mana is due out on PS4, PS Vita, and PC on February 15.Â
