Rare has released a new update for shanty-singing simulator Sea of Thieves on PC and Xbox One, offering another slew of bug fixes plus additional key updates.

For starters there's a new Message From the Beyond describing how to scuttle ships, while ammo crates have been adjusted so they're now easier to interact with. Other improvements include players no longer cranking out the same shanty twice in a row, while the user interface has been given a bit of spit and polish so that Vanity & Clothing Chests 'now load gracefully' when browsing.

Meanwhile, Rare's also been busy clamping down on a number of issues, including ironing out an issue where Skeleton Fort or Bounty Quest Skeletons spawned incorrectly and giving the boot to the infamous sky ship bug. In addition, the Kraken has also been tweaked a bit, and will no longer spawn around rocks while its tentacles will always be visible after grabbing a player (not that there's anything else to see of the mythical sea beast, as it has no body).

Check out Rare's full patch notes on the official Sea of Thieves website.
