Rare has announced plans to launch a closed Technical Alpha test for its upcoming seafaring adventure Sea of Thieves.
Beginning next Friday, December 16, the alpha will be limited to around 1,000 people who have previously signed up to the game’s Insider Program, with more set to be invited as the test progresses over the course of the weekend.
Take a look at the video below for a look at some of the features the lucky alpha testers will be able to get their hands on, but don’t expect to hear much more about it: Rare says that the alpha will be under NDA, suggesting those invited won’t get to talk about their experience publicly.
Sea of Thieves is scheduled to release on Xbox One and Windows 10 in 2017.
