Scribblenauts Unlimited has been delayed until 2013 in Europe, developer 5th Cell has announced.

Given the game’s recent North American release, it had been assumed that the puzzle game would ship fairly soon after the Wii U’s European launch next Friday, November 30.

The game released in North America alongside Wii U last Sunday, November 18.

However, the game now won’t see a European release on either Wii U or 3DS until next year “due to things outside of development”.

“[The delay is] due to stuff I can’t talk about until 2013,” creative director Jeremiah Slaczka told NeoGAF. “Scribblenauts and Super Scribblenauts were released NA and EU the same day. Trust me. I want your money. It’s due to things outside of development.”

Scribblenauts Unlimited is due to be published by Warner Bros. in the UK.

Earlier today, Nintendo announced that 24 titles would be available to pick up alongside Wii U next Friday, including Warner Bros.’ Batman: Arkham City Armoured Edition and Game Party Champions.
