Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced that its multi award-winning Scribblenauts for Nintendo DS has reached blockbuster status and “sold in” more than one million units worldwide.

“We are extremely pleased with the sales of Scribblenauts and credit the game’s innovation and wide appeal in making it a hit with gamers of all skill levels,” said Martin Tremblay, President, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “Scribblenauts is one of our strong original brands, and we look forward to bringing consumers more quality gaming experiences as part of our portfolio game strategy.”

Created by 5TH Cell, Scribblenauts launched in September 2009 and offered players the ability to solve a series of puzzle scenarios by writing down whatever they could think of. The desired item would then appear in game.
