Impressive, if somewhat rough round the edges, DS puzzle platformer Scribblenauts proved to be a surprise hit of 2009, selling more than a million units worldwide.
Late last year, however, developer 5th Cell said it was taking a break from handheld development, but it appears this hasn’t prevented work on a Scribblenauts sequel – according to Nintendo Power magazine, Scribblenauts 2 will be released this autumn.
Fans can expects an additional 10,000 words, 120 new and improved levels, improved controls (one of the biggest issues with the first game), a new importance to adjectives, enhanced level editor tools and much more.
