Rebellion has announced that the final chapter in Sniper Elite 4’s Deathstorm DLC, Obliteration, will come out on July 18. For the first time since Sniper Elite 2, the action will take place in Germany. Elite agent Karl Fairburne must draw on all his skills to infiltrate and neutralise the facility, bringing an end to the Deathstorm project once and for all. Simple, huh?

In a small Bavarian town called Steigerloch, a nuclear project known as Deathstorm is being researched in a heavily guarded complex, hidden beneath the sleepy town’s hilltop church. Everything would seem normal if it weren’t for the suspicious vehicles milling around, suggesting the Nazis were planning something. So it’s up to Karl Fairburne to kick some ass, take some names, and so on and so forth.

The Deathstorm Part 3: Obliteration DLC will come with six new Axis characters to unlock for multiplayer. Coming alongside the DLC is the Lock and Load expansion pack which contains the  SVT, M30 Drilling and Mauser M712 rifles. With new guns comes the opportunity to change your rifle’s aiming reticule, too.

There’s more free content included alongside this release. There’s a new Authentic Plus difficulty mode, and a boost to the online Elite ranks raising the level cap from 50 to 250. Cripes. Finally, there are a couple of new maps: the Facility survival map, and Bunker, a competitive multiplayer map.

Sniper Elite 4’s Deathstorm 3: Obliteration DLC will be released on July 18, for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
