After receiving critical and retail success in Japan, Koei is bringing Samurai Warriors 2 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 2 to Europe. The game is described as the definitive Warriors title, building on the best features of the series.

The game features Story, Free, and Survival game modes, plus multiplayer co-op and a bonus four-player party game called Sugoroku (a traditional Japanese board game). Exclusive to the Xbox 360 version is two-player vs. play over Xbox Live.

A total of 26 characters are playable, ten of which are new warriors such as the legendary Musashi Miyamoto, Ieyasu Tokugawa, the unifier of Japan, and the mysterious ninja Kotaro Fuma.

Samurai Warriors 2 is scheduled for release in September.
