Majesco Entertainment, which has over recent times re-established itself as a budget and handheld game publisher, has announced the development of Kengo Zero for Xbox 360. The game is described as a samurai warrior beat ’em-up and is scheduled for release in the autumn.
Developed by Genki, Kengo Zero is set in feudal Japan and sees players on a mission to become the best samurai warrior in the land. The game features nine samurai, including Musashi Miyamoto, Jubei Yagyu and Sanako Chiba. Each has a unique storyline, attack techniques and upgradeable attributes (health, stamina, attack power and defence).
The game’s primary mode is storyline-driven, but Kengo Zero also features Mission Mode which challenges players to complete ten mission in a given time frame; Combat Mode which offers two-player, head-to-head battles; and Xbox Live Leaderboard where players will compete for new equipment and the best ranking by pitting AI profiles against each other.
Kengo Zero is scheduled for release in Europe in the autumn.
