Samsung has just announced the Galaxy Z Flip 5 at their Galaxy Unpacked event in Seoul, Korea.
“Join the flipside”, Samsung tells us as they announce their next generation of flip phones. As you might expect with a new launch, the Z Flip 5 is thinner and lighter than before, featuring Qualcomm’s speedier Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip that gives Apple’s A16 Bionic chip a good run for its money.
The premium device features a larger outside cover screen for speedier replies to messages and a viewfinder for selfies thanks to its killer main 12-megapixel camera. It’s emphasis on the selfie-taking abilities of this phone is something to note. The cameras use AI to make the pictures crisper and reduce noise, and can even switch frames automatically to fit everyone in the photo.
Alongside the Galaxy Watch 6 and Tab 9, the Z Flip 5 will release on August 11th.
