Microsoft has announced that Saints Row 2 has joined the company's rapidly-swelling lineup of Xbox One backwards compatibility titles.
Originally released back in 2008, Saints Row 2 takes us back to a time when the franchise was more or less just a slightly more irreverent version of Grand Theft Auto. The humour's still there, but you won't be smacking people around with giant purple dildos, leaping across rooftops with superhuman powers, or battling aliens as the President of the United States. You do, however, get to give your character a Nolan North voice, so that's okay.
Anyway, if you've got the game lying around still for Xbox 360 you can now pop the disc in your Xbox One and fire it up. Those of you who have a digital version of the gangster-fuelled sequel meanwhile can download it by hitting up the Ready for Download section of your console.
We thought Saints Row 2 was pretty decent when it first came out, although it's probably fair to say the franchise really came into its own with the barmy third instalment in 2011.
