THQ has revealed first details on Saints Row 2, promising vastly expanded customization options, a transformed and expanded city of Stilwater, new vehicles, online co-op and competitive multiplayer.
The game is being made by THQ’s in house developer Volition Inc, the same team that brought the first game to Xbox 360 in September 2006.
According to the publisher, it will have a “much darker and more sinister story” than the original and “leads your character down a path of betrayal, revenge and redemption against the city that has left him for dead“.
Not only that, but THQ said the game will deliver “the most compelling online open-world experience to date” and has “the most robust open-world feature set ever developed in the genre“.
