Ubisoft has announced that The Manhattan Project, new DLC for RTS RUSE, will be released for free in December on Xbox LIVE, PSN and Steam.

The Manhattan Project Pack features new challenges, including three exclusive multiplayer maps along with two additional multiplayer modes. The new game modes will affect strategy, pace, and will allow players to create nuclear cannons and benefit from accelerated technology evolution.

New multiplayer maps:

– Twilight of the Gods, 2 vs. 2

– Vesuvio, 2 vs. 2

– Guns and Tulips, 3 vs. 3

New multiplayer modes:

– Nuclear War: all prototype factories and upgrades will be unlocked from the beginning. Use them smartly and embark on spectacular battles with your enemies.

– Total War: you’ll start in year 1939 with all the units and the specificities of that time. You will then unlock 1942 units and 1945 units step by step.

Despite suffering a hefty delay, RUSE turned out rather well, gaining a respectable 8/10 here on VideoGamer.com. However, Ubisoft has said the game performed below expectations.

It’s unlikely the new content will help attract a new audience, but the maps and modes will please those who gave the new RTS a chance.
