Ubisoft has announced that the Public Beta Test for R.U.S.E., the new real-time strategy game from Eugen Systems, is now available to download and play on Steam.

R.U.S.E. promises a new take on the genre, allowing players to use their brains as the ultimate weapon to fight a war of perception where the ability to deceive and mislead the enemy determines success.

In the beta players will have the opportunity to choose one of the six unique factions available in the game (US, UK, Germany, USSR, France and Italy) and train themselves against the artificial intelligence on the “Blitz” map before entering the multiplayer arena.

Seven multiplayer maps (from 1 vs 1 to 4 vs 4…or free for all) are available, with players able to combine up to ten different ruses across three game modes.

R.U.S.E. is scheduled to release on June 3, 2010 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Further information regrading the Public Beta can be found on rusegame.com.
