Project Aces’ PlayStation 2-era flight combat games Ace Combat Zero, Ace Combat 4, and Ace Combat 5 may be getting a modern high-definition overhaul, according to job vacancy at a software quality assurance company.

All three game are colloquially known by fans as the Holy Trinity of the popular franchise, and the job listing makes explicit mention for a potential candidate to have experience with each title for the role of ‘director assistance/planner support.’

‘Someone with deep knowledge of the PS2 titles Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies, Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War, and Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War,’ Gematsu’s translation of the job listing reads.

Publisher Bandai Namco Games has not yet confirmed it has any sort of Ace Combat Collection in the pipeline, so we wouldn’t read too much into this listing just yet. However, given the amount of remasters that are doing the rounds lately, not to mention the popularity of those three games among fans, we wouldn’t put it past them.

The most recent entry in the Ace Combat franchise, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, is pencilled in for release this year on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One after being delayed from its original 2017 window.
