Two new golfers, four new golf courses and a range of additional Play Now modes are to be added to Rory McIlroy PGA Tour for free between now and the end of March 2016, EA has announced.

American golfer Dustin Johnson and Swedish golfer Henrik Stenson will join the roster of playable golfers, along with a new ‘Treasure Island’ Fantasy Course.

Meanwhile, Quail Hollow (North Carolina), TPC Stadium at PGA West (California) and Oakmont Country Club (Pennsylvania) will each be added to the list of real world courses, alongside 4 new Play Now modes: Skins, Four Ball, Alternate Shot and Best Ball.

Individual dates for the DLCs have yet to be confirmed.

Rory McIlroy PGA Tour launched on PS4 and Xbox One back in July, but its limited amount of content left our reviewer disappointed.

“Though EA promises to deliver free content for six months following launch, it’ll have to deliver an absolute shedload to make up for what’s missing,” said Brett in his 5/10 review. “The mechanics are solid, yes, but with insufficient courses and golfers, this game struggles to offer an experience worth paying for.”
