Online comic and commentary on the video game industry Penny Arcade, is being made into a videogame, and it has just been revealed that Ron Gilbert is on board.

Gilbert explains: “I have been a fan of Penny Arcade because I have always found their comic so funny and biting. When I first heard they were making a game and that they had chosen to weave adventure game elements into it, I knew immediately I wanted to be involved. Working with the Penny Arcade guys and the team at Hothead has been an absolute riot.“

The game, titled Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, is being developed by Hothead Games, and is expected to be a hilarious and irreverent adventure game. A release date is yet to be confirmed, though it has been announced the game will be available for PC, Mac and Linux.
