Rebellion has revealed that Rogue Trooper Redux is launching on the Switch on October 17, day and date with the other platform versions. At least, it’s launching on the Switch in North America on that date. Other territories are still TBC.

Rogue Trooper Redux is a remaster of a classic 2006 shooter, based on the 2000AD comics about a bright blue muscly genetically engineered soldier on a quest for revenge, and Rebellion has said that this could be a bit of a ‘toe in the water’ to see if a sequel would be well received.

While Rogue Trooper may have aged a bit mechanically, it’s still very funny, because implanting your dead squadmates’ personalities in your equipment by installing their biochips is a funny thing. In case the prior sentence is confusing to you, Rebellion has a Rogue Trooper 101 video to help you out.

Rogue Trooper Redux launches on October 17 for Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Switch.
