Batman: Arkham City developer Rocksteady hasn’t ruled out developing titles based on super heroes other than Batman, but the studio also has plenty of ideas for future games in the Arkham series.
Speaking to CVG, studio co-founder Sefton Hill said that he “wouldn’t rule anything out” when discussing new games based on other super heroes.
“I wouldn’t rule anything out,” the Rocksteady co-founder said. “What drives us is the passion of the games we want to make so I wouldn’t say we definitely wouldn’t do anything at this time.
“I think it’s going to be whatever inspires the team. Whatever inspires the team, that’s what we’re going to do and it might be another character.”
That doesn’t mean Hill and his studio isn’t thinking about more games in the Batman: Arkham series it has made a name from.
“There are so many more stories to tell that get us amazingly excited definitely,” he added. “You can’t not have ideas with these characters, you can’t not have things you want to do, things that get us excited.”
Batman: Arkham City is due for release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on October 21.
What super hero title would you like to see Rocksteady take on? Seeing as the studio is owned by Warner, who in turn own DC comics, any future game would likely be based on one of the DC characters. What about Superman, Flash or Green Lantern?
