Rockstar Games and Nvidia are working together to address the ‘unforeseen’ problems with Red Dead Redemption 2’s PC port.
Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC tottered onto the scene last week and the port of the sensational cowboy sim suffered more than its fair share of bugs and crashes. Rockstar Games handed out a troubleshooting guide for those who couldn’t even get the game to run through its dedicated launcher, and suggested that conflicts with graphics drivers were the crux of the issues. Also, the PCRedDead subreddit supplied possible fixes and recommendations of their own, which is heartening to see and took a little of the pressure off the developer.

Now, Rockstar Games has announced that it will be working with technology company Nvidia to resolve these ‘unforeseen’ incompatibilities. This collaboration will hopefully ‘completely resolve the stuttering issue in a future update’, though it will take a ‘few days’ to roll out for everybody. ‘We sincerely apologise for this temporary inconvenience and will update you as soon as we have more information to share,’ the statement read. ‘We want everyone to be able to experience Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC as we intended as soon as possible.’
Red Dead Redemption 2 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC through the Rockstar Games Launcher and will be coming to Google Stadia as well.
