Back to the Future’s iconic DeLorean is heading to the PS4 version of Rocket League later this month, Psyonix has announced.

Available from October 21, the ‘Back to the Future Car Pack’ will let players take to the pitch in the 1980s time machine complete with folding wheels and a flaming ‘Burnt Rubber’ Rocket Trail.

“Truth be told, we used to fantasise and joke about having the DeLorean in our game months before it even came out,” vice president of marketing Jeremy Dunham said on PlayStation Blog. “We were all such huge Back to the Future fans here at Psyonix, that it was one of the few ‘Holy Grails’ we had hoped for besides having a hit game. The fact that we’re getting both of those ‘best-case scenarios’ in the same year is an amazing accomplishment for us – they’re things we’ll never forget!”

The DLC will be available from PlayStation Store for €1.99, although a UK price has yet to be confirmed. We don’t know whether it’ll be available on PC yet, either.
