UPDATE – JAN 5, 14:11: Rise of the Tomb Raider will be available on PC from January 28, 2016, Square Enix has confirmed.
Developed in collaboration with Nixxes, the PC version will include “numerous” new features over the existing Xbox One and Xbox 360 releases, including support for 4K resolution. You can check out what it looks like in the first screenshots.
As well as being available digitally, a physical Collector’s Edition containing a 12-inch Lara Croft statue, replicas of Lara’s journal and her jade necklace, a steel case and a downloadable digital deluxe version of the game will be available from the Square Enix Store for $149.99. A UK price has yet to be confirmed.

“PC players are a passionate, devoted audience and we know they’ll embrace the version created for their systems,” said Crystal Dynamics’ co-head Ron Rosenberg.

A final release date for the PS4 version has yet to be announced.
ORIGINAL STORY: Rise of the Tomb Raider is heading to PC later this month, according to an update on Steam.
While Square has yet to formally announce an exact date, it has previously confirmed that the game will ship in early 2016, with a PS4 release to follow at the end of the year.
The game debuted on Xbox One and Xbox 360 in November, but is rumoured to have underperformed at retail, allegedly selling just over 60,000 units in the UK during release week. Neither Square Enix or Microsoft have confirmed sales figures.
Nevertheless, Lara Croft’s latest adventure is thought to be one of last year’s best, scoring a 9/10 in our review and considered Game of the Year by VideoGamer editor Tom.
