Rise of the Tomb Raider has gone gold ahead of its release next month, Crystal Dynamics has announced.

Celebrating the news on Tumblr, Square Enix’s head of product development and western studios Darrell Gallagher explained that the entire team had “challenged themselves to improve on the last game” and create “a worthy sequel to Tomb Raider 2013”.

“With the game development now complete we are excited to share this incredible next chapter in Lara’s journey as she continues her growth into the ultimate action adventure icon, and accepts her destiny to become the Tomb Raider,” he said.

Rise of the Tomb Raider sees Lara Croft searching for the remains of an ancient Siberian city, and is expected to last players anywhere between 15-40 hours. Three pieces of DLC are also planned to roll out following the game’s release, introducing a new tomb, a new Endurance Mode and an additional survival challenge.

Rise of the Tomb Raider launches on Xbox One and Xbox 360 on November 13, with a PS4 and PC release due in 2016.
