Trion Worlds, the studio behind MMO Rift, has detailed the upcoming onslaught of updates set to make their way to the game over the next few months.
Changes to the MMO will include improvements to PVP and World PVP, as well as introducing “PvP rifts” which will “take advantage of [the] dynamic content by creating a competitive PvP objective in an area of the world”.
A new instance called Chronicles of Telera will also be made available, and is being designed to allow users to play through it individually as well as in small groups.
Additionally, the developers will be adding a new kind of gameplay called “Instant Adventure” which makes zone events “more available when you want it”.
Patch 1.3, the most recent update to Rift, was released last month and featured the new World Event: Waves of Madness. Currently subscription discounts are being offered to ex-players interested in re-subscribing.
