Ridge Racer Unbounded, the newest instalment in the hugely popular arcade racing series, will be released across Europe on March 2, 2012, Namco Bandai has announced. The game will be available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

Developed by Bugbear Entertainment, most famous for the FlatOut series of racing games, RR Unbounded features full environmental and vehicular destruction, combined with the arcade handling and drifting which fans expect.

“Ridge Racer Unbounded brings the high-octane racing that the series is known for and injects new layers of destruction and carnage to the already intense formula,” said Olivier Comte, vice president of Marketing, Sales & Publishing at Namco Bandai Partners S.A.S. “With the new sophisticated City Creator, fans can easily create an unlimited number of tracks and share them with their friends for limitless replay value.”

In single player mode, players must impress Kara Shindo, leader of the Unbounded gang, to develop street cred in Shatter Bay through high-speed destruction.

In addition to the single player mode, racers can head online to compete against other players.
