Master of the 619 Rey Mysterio has been announced as a downloadable superstar for the upcoming release of WWE 2K19 during last night's Monday Night Raw broadcast. He along with another currently unannounced WWE Superstar will make up this year's pre-order bonus characters.

It's interesting news for wrestling fans, given technically Rey doesn't even work for the WWE at the moment and was most recently seen in Colm's favourite promotion New Japan Pro Wrestling's Dominion 6.9 event in a losing effort against the Bullet Club. The last time he fought for the 'E was a one off appearance at the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia back in April.

The latest version of the grappler was formally announced two weeks ago with former TNA stalwart AJ Styles on the cover – it's due out on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on October 9.
