Retail gives Star Wars: The Old Republic a release date

Star Wars: The Old Republic, the ambitious MMO from EA’s BioWare, will be released on September 9, according to an updated listing by video games retailer ShopTo.

Recent comments from EA have cast doubt over the game’s planned 2011 release date, with the publisher removing the title from its 2011 slate.

The official word from EA is a calendar 2011 release date.
