During Respawn's regular check in on the game's official Reddit over the weekend, the developer revealed that it has banned more than 355 thousand cheaters on the PC version of the popular Battle Royale shooter.

In the post from Respawn's community manager Jay Frechette, Respawn said how the battle against cheaters was an 'ongoing war we’ll need to continue to adapt to and be very vigilant about fighting' and confirmed their intention to add a Report Player function to the PC version of the game.

The post also talks about how the team is working with experts 'both inside and outside of EA' as well as scaling up their anti-cheat team in order to better deal with the problem of cheaters within the game. Also mentioned in the weekly catch up was an intention to deal with spammers during the character select screen and having AMD coming into the studio to work with Respawn on ensuring the game continues to run smoothly on PC after a recent similar visit from Nvidia.

One thing that won't be coming any time soon is a reconnect feature for those who drop out of a match mid-game, with Respawn citing the feature being too easily open to abuse and resources being better spent on improving game stability.

So looks like if you want to get yourself that win in Apex Legends you'll have to stick to getting it legitimately, in the meantime why not enjoy Colm's journey ongoing into getting his own Apex Legends Champion win? Apex Legends is out now and free to play on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
