Sony Computer Entertainment has announced that a competitive online multiplayer event for Resistance 2 is to take place in October. The pre-launch event will give PS3 owners the opportunity to sample Resistance 2 multiplayer and provide feedback to developer Insomniac Games.
Other than an October start date Sony isn’t currently able to provide any additional information, but promises more as soon as they have it. It’s likely PS3 owners will be offered the chance to take part in huge 60-person online battles in which they will join squads with distinct battlefield objectives.
Resistance 2 is scheduled for release only on PS3 in November, with a firm date expected to be confirmed shortly.
