Resident Evil 7 will support HDR visuals on Xbox One S, Capcom confirmed today.

In a release addressing the 3 million downloads of the PS Plus exclusive Resident Evil 7 demo, Capcom also reaffirmed support for PS4 Pro.

“The full game will be compatible with the PlayStation 4 Pro, allowing the immersive gameplay to be experienced in high-resolution, luxuriant 4K with rich visuals only HDR can deliver,” explained Capcom. “Similarly, with HDR support on the Xbox One S, players can enjoy gameplay in Full HD that offers realism that can almost be felt.”

Interestingly there’s no mention of HDR on regular PS4 consoles, despite a recent firmware update giving developers the ability to make use of the functionality.

Resident Evil 7 launches January 24 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
