Resident Evil 7’s ‘Beginning Hour’ demo will release on Xbox One this Friday, December 9 and Steam on December 19, Capcom has confirmed.
The demo offers a playable teaser of next month’s survival horror, which sees players exploring a creepy mansion in search of the player character’s missing wife.
The demo first hit PS4 back in June, and has seen a further, final update this weekend which may (hopefully) provide some answers about the finger. Or not. Capcom hasn’t said. It does, however, introduce new areas along with support for PlayStation VR and PS4 Pro, the latter of which renders the game at 4K resolution. Again, I’m not sure if that’s native or upscaled. I’d imagine the latter.
Resident Evil 7 hits PS4, Xbox One and PC on January 24, 2017. I was talked into giving it a go on PlayStation VR a couple of months ago, which was fun.
