It has been rumoured that Resident Evil 5’s absence at the Tokyo Game Show is down to the fact that Microsoft is attempting to make the title an Xbox 360 exclusive. A ‘no comment’ response from Xbox Japan boss Takashi Sensui only aided in fuelling the rumour, but today Capcom has categorically denied all such reports.
“Resident Evil 5 will release on PS3 and Xbox 360 as announced. There a no plans for an exclusive with the game,” a Capcom spokesperson told CVG.
It’s also unlikely that the game will make an appearance at X06, with the rep adding that the game is still in very early stages.
