UPDATE: Resident Evil 5 will launch on both PS4 and Xbox One on June 28, Capcom has confirmed to VideoGamer.com.

ORIGINAL STORY: Resident Evil 5 will release on Xbox One on June 28, according to a listing on Xbox.com. The date has yet to be officially announced by Capcom but fits in with the summer timeline previously confirmed by the publisher.

If it’s accurate you should probably expect the PS4 version to arrive on the same day. We’ve checked in with Capcom for confirmation.

The new-gen port includes the full game plus all previously released DLC and is expected to run at 1080p/60fps. Both PS4 and Xbox One versions are due to cost £15.99 and will only be available digitally across Europe.

A current-gen port of Resident Evil 6 launched back in March, with Resident Evil 4 due to follow this autumn. A more precise date for that has yet to be announced.
