Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition, the only way for Japanese gamers to get hold of the two new episodes and new mercenaries mode, entered the Japanese video game chart No.1 this week after notching up sales of 143,000 units on PS3.
Capcom’s re-release was joined in the Top 10 by a fellow new release Heavy Rain, although the PS3 exclusive failed to gain anything like the same interest from gamers. The story of the Origami Killer sold 27,000 units in its first week.
