The game puts you in the shoes of Reka, apprentice to the legendary Baba Jaga. You’ll get to practice all sorts of witchcraft while exploring the autumnal woodlands alongside your chicken-legged cottage. The journey will be full of puzzles to solve and secrets to uncover.

When does Reka come out?

No date has been announced for the adventure game’s official release yet but early access begins on September 12, 2024. This was confirmed through a community post on the game’s Steam Page.

Reka was originally scheduled to enter early access in Q2 with plans of continuing work on the game throughout the rest of 2024. Changes will be made for the official release based on player feedback during early access.

How to play early

The game’s Steam page currently does not have a price listed for early access. However, the developers have confirmed that the game’s price will increase when its official release rolls around. In the meantime, there is a free playable demo of the game available on Steam. More information is sure to come to light as we approach its early access launch.

Players will get to experience the prologue and the first chapter of the game when the early build becomes available. Of course, the rest of the chapters will come out when the official Reka release date rolls around. Additional content is also being planned for future updates.

Reka will only be available on PC. Its is being done by Rhianna Pratchett, a writer who as also worked on titles such as Tomb Raider, Overlord, and Mirror’s Edge.
