The creative director of Reflections Interactive and the man who founded the company a thousand years ago (1984) has resigned from his position. Mr Edmondson did not give specific reasons as to his departure, but released a statement that read:

“As of December 7th, I have resigned from my position as managing and creative director of Reflections Interactive. Having founded Reflections in 1984 and enjoyed almost two decades of creative and commercial success there, I still feel a great sense of attachment to the studio and am very sad to leave. Reflections remains home to a team of talented and committed people and I wish them all a great deal of success in the future. It is too early for me to announce my own plans, but I fully intend to carry on creating original IP and bringing successful games to market.”

Reflections will still be in the minds of most gamers thanks to the train-wreck that was Driv3r, a game that courted much controversy over its apparent unfinished state and was the subject of magazine score-fixing allegations. Whilst nothing has been said on the matter, speculation is rife that some of the reasoning for Mr Edmondson’s departure could be put down to that particular debacle.
