Red Faction: Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered, the awkwardly-titled revamp of 2009's terrain-destroying shooter, will launch on July 3, publisher THQ Nordic has revealed.

As expected, Guerrilla features a massive facelift in comparison to its original incarnation, with spruced up textures, native 4K resolution, and revamped shadow and lighting effects.

If you want to get technical, the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X versions of the game will clock in at 1500p resolution at 60fps or 30fps when running in shiny 4K.

That's not to say the bog-standard version is a bit wince-worthy, as it'll still run at an impressive 1080p at 60fps.

Those of you who didn't play Red Faction: Guerrilla would probably do well to check this out. It's heaps of fun, as you rampage around the Red Planet blowing the crap out of anything in your way. It's called 'strategic destruction,' apparently, but we prefer to think of it as just, well, having fun.

Red Faction: Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered is due out on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.
