Red Dead Online will get a new Specialist Role in the next update: the Moonshiner who will be able to set up their own speakeasy if they’re successful (via PC Gamer).
“Establish your own bootlegging business in this new Specialist Role—an ideal fit for players progressing along the Trader path or anyone seeking a property to call their own,” said Rockstar Games in the announcement post. Players who are active Traders and have finished a sell mission or attained Rank 5 will meet Maggie Fike, a battle-scarred bootlegger connected to Cripps. To begin, players will purchase a Moonshining Shack and take on a tale of revenge on Maggie's behalf.
These missions will acquire new recipes and techniques that produce a legendary moonshine operation hidden in the basement of the modest Shack. Players will be able to hire a country band with a dance floor for their underground bar, and personalise it with unique speakeasy items. The next update will also include the second Outlaw Pass, new Moonshiner role unlocks, the new Navy Revolver, extra clothing options and expanded outfit slots in your Wardrobe.
Red Dead Online is out now for PlayStation 4, PC, Stadia, and Xbox One.
