Red Dead Online's beta has received a fresh batch of content this week, with Target Races now available for Rockstar's Wild West opus.
Target Races offer a nice spin on the usual horse-riding mechanics seen in the main game. You start off with a bow and arrow, and have to hit targets in order to boost your horse’s stamina to keep you ahead of the pack. You can also nab better weapons and stamina pickups, which are dotted throughout the course.
Players will also have to bump off the competition, too, so you’ll have to manage your ammo carefully when considering whether to nail the bullseyes or another player. Furthermore, PlayStation 4 gamers will be able to sample Open Target Races, giving you access to bigger locales.
Elsewhere, Rockstar has added a 20% XP boost for activities, plus 25% off all horse care products.
Red Dead Redemption 2 came out in October last year for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and in case you wondered, it's rather good.
