Xbox exclusives ReCore and Sea of Thieves will not be at Gamescom, Xbox chief Phil Spencer has confirmed.

The games were both revealed at last month’s E3 but, according to Spencer, the 6-week gap between the two events made it too difficult for the studios to create brand new demos.

“[Sea of Thieves] & Recore won’t be at GC, another demo so close to E3 is just tough on production,” he said.

ReCore is a new game from Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune, and is scheduled to release on Xbox One in spring 2016. So far, all we’ve seen is a CGI trailer.

Sea of Thieves, meanwhile, is a new seafaring title from Rare that takes Xbox One and PC players on an online adventure across the waves. A release date has yet to be confirmed.
