UK developer Rebellion has revealed it’s already in discussions with SEGA about continued support for the recently released Aliens vs Predator and also a sequel to the game.

“We’re delighted to see the game shoot to the top of the UK charts,” Rebellion co-founder and CEO Jason Kingsley told develop.

“We wanted Aliens Versus Predator to be a critical success as well as a commercial success, which we think we have achieved. We’re also in discussions with SEGA about ongoing support for AvP, and also about a sequel to the game,” he added.

Kingsley continued: “I won’t say what stage those negotiations are in, but we would love to revisit the franchise. Fox are excited about what we’re doing, and we feel we’ve added value to the franchise.”

The UK developer already has ideas for a sequel, explained Kingsley.

“There were a lot of things we couldn’t fit into the original. We are trying to do all the right things to make the franchise a success now and in the future.”
